Being a good Greenie.
Jeudi 2 octobre 2008 par steph.
Many people consider themselves as “a good greenie” (meaning they care about the environment) just because they bought a small car. So is that it??? Just because
they have a car the does not use a lot of petrol they are the Green King? What about their food? Do they care about the food they buy? Do they look to buy organic food as well as locally produced food? Or do they go to “Lidl” or any other hard discount to buy food? What about the house care product? Do they use green product or do they buy the cheapest product? What about personal care product? Do they buy product without petrochemical ingredient? What about their clothes and shoes? Do they take care to buy clothes and shoes that are produced in Europe by people who have decent salary as well as social help? Or do they buy clothes that last only one season?? The list can be long…
Yes, I drive a big car and I will not change it because I like it. BUT, I consider myself as a greenie as I take care of many other area to reduce my impact on the planet like food, clothes, house care and personal care product among others. How green do you consider yourself if we do not take in account the “car factor”?
